Sirius is known by many names, including Sothis, Sopdu, Sept, Sopdet, Po Tolo, The Dog Star. In the Dogon Tradition, the Sirius New Year begins in Sept (September).

My first band was called Dogon Sirius. I have been following Sirius for over 3 decades now in this lifetime…. The Dogon have been following Sirius for who knows how long…. Probably for thousands & thousands of Sirius Years….this song was a long time coming....

Sirius has been my inspiration for decades. My Cultural Astronomy Research project is about Sirius Indigenous Cultures. When I see Sirius in the sky, it takes my breath away....How many lifetimes have I adored her?
