Set gets blamed for many things, especially in Western tradition where he became known as Satan. Set is the Neteru of a egoism & lives within all of us. Neterian Wisdom teaches us how to control Set, & make him protect us by defeating chaos, instead of allowing him to steer our boat on the journey through the ocean of conscious towards our enlightenment.

Fetters of the mind
prevent the Soul from attaining Nehast
Set is the enemy
of the aspirant,
until he can be tamed, controlled and sublimated at last

The mastered ego becomes the servant
to the Higher Self
